One of these things is not like the other.....

Yesterday was bad. Really. Just a bad work day all together. I won't get into the boring details of it, but it seemed like everyone elses mistakes keep ending up on my desk. I'm sure everyone feels like that at times.

So, I'm on the last hour of the day and I look down while in the middle of a call. Literally I'm so frustrated I have my head in my hands, my head is down and I open my eyes to see this....I tell you, this will immediately make one start giggling. I hope the person on the phone didn't think I was amused by her--I was not.

This is what happens when two pairs of shoes are stacked with each other and you slip a pair on with a babes in hand and arms full of stuff to walk out the door.

Also, I posted a video on my facebook yesterday that I had run across. I'll post it here for those who aren't on my facebook. I wish I'd found this for a Veterans Day post. Make sure you turn off my music player before listening to this.

What's in a picture??

Texas weather is always crazy. These flowers always end up blooming a couple times a year cause they get confused. So I took a couple shots and look what I saw....

Look Close....can you see it....
Me and my camera in every drop of rain....Yes, I'm easily amused.

All I want for Xmas is my two front teeth.....

"The tooth fairy teaches children that they can sell body parts for money."---David Richerby

I guess it's been about a year since I've photographed this little girl. They change so quickly from "little girl" to "big girl". This girl is so easy to photograph, she takes direction so well and you end up thinking your dealing with an older child than you really are. Then suddenly there would be this spark of silly and you remembered she was still so very young. She probably still put those teeth under her pillow, and probably will be anticipating Santa's arrival this upcoming month.

Those glimpses of the "big girl" will come more frequently as the days move forward. It's always bittersweet to watch them grow up.

Top Banana

We went to a reception the other night for one of Lauren's top choices in college. Yes, college.

It was really a good visit and we learned a lot. College, wow.

The big I dunno....

I am a legitimate grown up. Really. I pay bills, and work everyday and clean up baby poop and drive to do errands and make hard choices and know how to handle doctors and plumbers. With all of this I have developed the wisdom to make good guesses as to what the next bend is going to bring. Right now I just don't know. Good stuff? Bad stuff? Weird stuff?

Can all the crazies just back off for a little bit?? I am just not in the mood for weirdo's right now.....What do you mean we're related??
Again, the above photo is best if you click on it and enlarge it.

Breaking all the rules....

I photograph Emma once a month. I think the upcoming holidays are going to completely blow that out of the water however. I beg your indulgence up front.

Yesterday I passed a little grouping of trees and shrubs while driving Emma to the sitters. I had told myself to stop and photograph it for over a week and kept putting it off. It's a perfect little rainbow with the orange leaves on top and some lime green coloring from bushes below and a layering of red bushes just below that. The landscaping is layed out so the colors appear to be in perfect horizontal layers. Yesterday I see the photograph in my head is not to be as the tree has shed all it's leaves.

I'm guessing there is only 2-3 weeks of really special photo ops out there as all the trees are going to be bare soon. So, I took Emma into the neighbor's lawn who has prettier color leaves than us. Wow, he has a bunch too..I'm guessing he'll be getting the Homeowner Nazi Association letter soon.

I'm sure your excited to know that not only are there crazy bows--but crazy hats as well that poor Emma will be forced to wear.

In the end though Emma decided to seek her fortune elsewhere and decided to run away. Of course after a cup of coffee and a long heartfelt discussion (and me buckling the belt on the stroller) she changed her mind and decided to come home with me.

FAIL....

Yep, I missed more than a couple days there huh??

My sis came into town and Tom had drill so it's been busy. I don't feel guilty. I blew the "one year" goal of posting every day. That's ok. I'm going to keep going and do what I can. The purpose of the posting was for me to be using the camera more--which I definitely am. So I see it as a success.

This weekend I took Sis and Emma to a place called Sharkarosa. It's an exotic animal park. I'm pretty pleased I ran across the place. I'm certain as Emma get's older we'll be taking her there again. So here are some random shots from the place...

Oink Oink

These are the photo's I'm processing next. For those who have been following along in the plot line, you will be happy to see the pup in this photo. The black dog is Pig from the Poopers adventures. Pig now has a much nicer name of Maddie and a very nice family who loves her.
If anybody else out there has one of the Poopers I would love to get an update or see pics if you have them.

One year...

My blog is one year old. I can't beleive it. I'll have to sit and analyze all that when I have a minute. I'll get back to you when I know how I feel about all that.

In the meantime, I did edit the Emma shots. It was all about putting stuff in her mouth. And yes, the bow is ridiculous--ridiculous and fabulous!!!

Rocky Horror

It was a long weekend, and although I haven't posted--I have been taking photos. I'll try to catch you up over the next couple days. First of all Halloween. Lauren and her friends went to the concert at Nokia---stupid venue doesn't allow decent camera's inside. My camera had to stay in the car.
Lauren was Magenta from Rocky Horror. Turns out her friend was Frank N Furter, we went by after the concert and got a pic of them together.

And finally for family, I did a couple of Emma for her 10 months ..this is not it. Expect to see them in the next 2-3 days.
