Crash, Boom Pow!!! (186)

Proof that Tom and I did the right thing by buying the cheapest boat of a car we could find for her.  Yes, she is fine and so is the other driver. I will call a vehicle like this a 'disposable car'.

She is very sad though as this "freedom ride" is totalled.  I remember how important my first vehicles were to me and the independence those veh's afforded me.

Wanted---cheap boat of a car!!!!

Vile Creature...(187)

I didn't think there was a dog worse than Buffy.   There is.  It comes in a very tiny snorty package.

This little black dog has a name.  I don't know what that is.   Tom doggy-sat for this fellow for a couple days while a freind was out of town.  He would go over 2 or so times a day and let the dog out and feed it and such and I went along  a couple times.

Initially I thought it was a cute little thing.  Runny around all frisky and playful.  Funny little snorty sound and funny yappy little noise coming from it.  No real bark mind you as it's snoot is quite squooshed up.  All that was ok.

Then it pooped.  (That's still in the normal realm for a dog right)  But then it turn around and ate it, and to boot the dog got an erection from this behavior.   After that Tom had to go doggy sit by himself as I refused to go along.

No, I'm not lying.  As a matter of fact I feel I have exhibited significant restraint by not posting the pics I have of that.

Tomorrow will be better--I promise.

San Andreas fault line...(188)

Suddenly our street started rising up up up...If you drive over the lift you bottom out.  It's pretty significant.  It happened virtually overnight.  What is this a freakin fault line?? I'm pretty sure something like this cannot be good for property values, even if you have added a splash pad to the neighborhood pool area. So the city is supposed to come in and cut it out and level it back out.  If this is what happens on the end of our street, what's to stop this from happening in or livingroom??

Washington DC (189)

Not too many photos of DC.  Just got a glimps while we were there.  I did think of Sadam Hussein when I saw this gold sword however.

Back to regular photos tomorrow.  I missed a great shot today.  One of our neighbors had a table set up in the front yard and a huge peice of plyboard propped up to the tree with graffitti painting on it "Nail Polish Sale $1.00".  It was should I say, not typical for our neighborhood.

In the meantime there are a couple new developments going on that I'll tell you about or show you this week.

Wordy Word (190)

These are also from the WW2 Memorial...

OOPS, I'm a couple minutes posting this blog.  World War 2 Memorial.  It's the first time Tom and I got to see it.

Here's to wrapping up the Annapolis water photos. Hope you've liked them.

Ship to Shore (194)

These photos are still from Annapolis. I still haven't seen a lot of these photos and there are still some to see.

We went onto the water and the skies were grey and we got a small misting rain. After that passed, the sky and sunset was simply stunning. Our captain looked water worn, definitely has spend a lot of time on a boat.

Argh to the Pirates... (195)

More of Annapolis.

There was one of those pirate cruises coming in to dock. These 2 little guys were there, either they had been on the boat already or were scheduled to go on next.

Silly String

Just an update on my Buddha Budda belly post. Nobody ever told me the meaning of the string (thanks for nothing folks) but I did find this... It's a must see.

Pinky and the Brain....(196)

FACT: Men do not bond with each other in the same way as women.

FACT: When these two are together they cannot be called Men...we chose to call them "the boys" or Pinky and the Brain or other not so nice terms. These two should not be left to their own devices for very long as our world would not be the same. (They contend it would be better but I question that.)

Anyone who has had a chance to be around these guys while they're together recognizes what a good match they are for each other. These shots are from our trip to Maryland. It was fun to see 'the boys' together again.

Happy Fathers Day Dudes!

Morning reflection (198)

Just a couple quick shots I took on a morning walk while in Maryland. Vacations are always so nice, to be able to get up and just go for a nice early walk. Not having to worry about getting ready for work, just slipping on some shorts and tennis shoes and going on. The quiet clean air. Coming back to a nice cup of coffee.

I will also note, as I type this I am using my new IPod Shuffle for the very first time. A birthday gift from the Mother in Law for me to use on my walks. I was very excited because Lauren loaded it with "my music". About a dozen CD's that have been sitting around for years unused. My car CD player blitzed years ago and I just haven't slid the cd's into the computer at any time to listen. So here I listen to Santana and Eric Clapton, Peter Gabriel and U2, Creed, Jimmy Buffett, Meatloaf, Jimi Hendrix and so many more. Yes, an eclectic mix. So, I suspect this toy will end up being a well used and well loved.

Buddha, Buddha belly...(199)

Went by this location while we were in Maryland and thought it was some type of cult. Seems to be some type of compound with quite a few shiny statues.

Did a little poking around online and turns out its a Thai Buddhist temple. We didn't stick around when folks started approaching but at that point we still thought this was some type of crazy cult habitat.

So for anyone who understands the Buddhist religion, what is the string about?? It runs from statue to statue and all about.

Hometown Tradition(200)

Took a photowalk while I was in Virginia. Didn't have enough time to really take my camera exploring, but here is an old pump I spotted and some litter which I found ironic.

There are some things which absolutely cannot be missed however. Such as Carl's Ice Cream at dusk. Here is a shot before and after all the yumminess. That sign is a beacon of goodness for all that is right in this world (not even exaggerating).

I had a small pineapple shake. My sister says the small size is sacrilegious and is only offered for small sickly preschool children or possibly the elderly infirmed. Either way, it hit the spot.
